  • <p>Robert Half is working in partnership with a highly successful and growing Northwest engineering business to appoint an exceptional Finance Director.</p><p>Our client is a well-established organisation with a strong market presence, a diverse customer base and ambitious plans for further expansion. As part of their continued development, they are now seeking a commercially focused Finance Director to join their executive leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the next stage of their growth.</p><p>Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Finance Director will have full responsibility for the financial strategy and performance of the business. This is a broad and influential role requiring a strategic thinker who can also operate effectively at an operational level within a fast-paced engineering environment.</p><p>Key responsibilities will include:</p><p>* Developing and delivering the financial strategy in line with business objectives<br /> * Providing commercial insight and strategic guidance to the Board<br /> * Leading budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning<br /> * Overseeing management reporting, statutory accounts and compliance<br /> * Driving financial performance, margin improvement and cost control<br /> * Managing cash flow, working capital and capital expenditure<br /> * Strengthening financial controls, systems and processes<br /> * Providing commercial support to pricing, bids and major contracts<br /> * Managing relationships with banks, auditors and external stakeholders<br /> * Leading, mentoring and developing the finance team<br /> * Supporting strategic projects including investment appraisal and acquisitions</p><p>The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with significant senior finance leadership experience, ideally gained within an engineering, manufacturing or technical services environment.
