With ambitious expansion plans across London, this role offers significant exposure to investors, lenders and senior stakeholders whilst providing genuine scope to shape and improve the finance function.<h2>The Role</h2>As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the integrity of financial reporting, management accounts production, compliance, treasury oversight and the management of outsourced finance providers.This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys operating both strategically and in the detail, helping build scalable finance processes within an entrepreneurial environment.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Own the month-end process and deliver accurate and timely management reporting, board packs and financial analysis.</li><li>Prepare quarterly reporting for investors, lenders and external stakeholders.</li><li>Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records, reconciliations and supporting documentation.</li><li>Maintain an audit-ready finance function and act as a key contact for external auditors.</li><li>Support statutory reporting and FRS 102 compliance requirements.</li><li>Oversee VAT, corporation tax and wider regulatory reporting obligations.</li><li>Manage relationships with outsourced finance providers and ensure quality delivery.</li><li>Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management processes.</li><li>Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and performance analysis.</li><li>Develop and strengthen financial controls, governance processes and finance policies.</li><li>Support strategic growth initiatives and wider business projects.</li></ul><h2>About You</h2>We are seeking a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a growing business environment and enjoys taking ownership.<h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.</li><li>Previous Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Senior Finance Manager experience within a start up environement.</li><li>Strong financial and management reporting experience.</li><li>Audit background or significant experience managing external audits.</li><li>Excellent understanding of financial controls, reconciliations and compliance.</li><li>Experience working within a fast-paced, changing environment.</li><li>Strong Excel and finance systems capability.</li><li>Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.</li><li>Proactive, resilient and solutions-focused mindset.</li></ul><h3>Desirable Experience</h3><ul><li>Private equity-backed business experience.</li><li>Real estate, property, flexible workspace, serviced office or asset-backed business exposure.</li><li>Experience working alongside outsourced finance providers.</li><li>Experience supporting fundraising, lender reporting or investor reporting requirements.</li></ul><h2>What's on Offer?</h2><ul><li>Opportunity to shape and develop a growing finance function.</li><li>Significant exposure to senior leadership, investors and lenders.</li><li>Broad role covering financial control, reporting, commercial finance and process improvement.</li><li>Career progression within a high-growth business.</li><li>Hybrid working environment.</li><li>Competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.</li></ul>This role would suit an ambitious qualified accountant looking to step into a broad Financial Controller position where they can make a visible impact and help support an exciting growth journey.
