This position sits within a high-performing finance team and offers broad exposure across revenue accounting, forecasting, and financial analysis.</p><p> </p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Management Accountant to take ownership of key reporting processes while working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>📊</strong><strong> About the Role</strong></p><p> </p><p>Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a central role in delivering accurate revenue accounting, management reporting, and forward-looking financial analysis for a key division of the business.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>Revenue Accounting & Management Reporting</strong></p><ul><li>Monthly reporting of actual results, including revenue recognition across fixed price, annuity, and time & materials contracts.</li><li>Ownership of data integrity and accuracy across revenue streams.</li><li>Monthly reporting of revenue and gross margin by customer, deal, and revenue type.</li><li>Detailed analysis of results versus forecast and budget, providing clear variance explanations.</li><li>Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including reconciliation of prior month accruals and timesheet compliance.</li><li>Preparation of month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Forecasting & Planning</strong></p><ul><li>Ownership of the monthly forecast process for a professional services division.</li><li>Working closely with senior stakeholders to understand pipeline, workload, and resource planning assumptions.</li><li>Supporting inputs into the Annual Operating Budget.</li><li>Managing and evolving KPI reporting, including building additional metrics where required.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Controls & Process</strong></p><ul><li>Responsibility for intercompany reconciliations, invoicing, recharges, and supporting analysis.</li><li>Ensuring balance sheet integrity through regular reconciliations.</li><li>Supporting continuous improvement in financial systems and processes.</li><li>Ensuring compliance with data protection and information security policies.</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p>📋<strong> What We're Looking For</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>ACCA or CIMA qualified or qualified by experience.</li><li>6+ years' experience in a Management Accountant or similar role.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Essential:</strong> Proven experience in organisations with billable hours, such as law firms, management consulting, or IT consulting.</li><li><strong>Essential</strong><strong>:</strong> Strong understanding of revenue recognition.</li></ul><ul><li>Solid experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.</li><li>Advanced Excel skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a finance team and partner effectively with senior stakeholders.</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p>🤝<strong> What's on Offer</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>£60,000 - £65,000 salary.</li><li>12-month fixed term contract.</li><li>Hybrid working - 2 days per week in the London office.</li><li>Direct reporting line to the Finance Director, offering strong visibility within the finance function.</li><li>Broad exposure across revenue accounting, forecasting, and performance analysis within a growing organisation.</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>💼</strong><strong> Why This Role Could Be Your Next Move</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>This role offers the chance to step into a well-structured finance environment where you can take ownership of key revenue accounting areas and contribute to high-quality financial insight.
