This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is keen on developing their accounting career within an international organisation.RoleReporting into the Finance Manager, the Graduate Assistant Accountant will support on a number of key transactional and reporting duties across various entities, dealing with AP/AR and month-end.Key responsibilities will include:<ul><li>Ensure all routine finance processing is completed accurately and to monthly deadlines</li><li>Work with internal teams to gather data for reporting and decision-making</li><li>Manage accounts payable, including invoices, purchase orders, and coding</li><li>Ensure costs are recorded in the correct period</li><li>Plan and carry out regular supplier payment runs</li><li>Process employee expenses in line with company policy</li><li>Build strong relationships with suppliers and resolve queries quickly</li><li>Complete monthly bank reconciliations, petty cash and journals</li><li>Support VAT returns and maintain accurate financial records</li><li>Assist with process improvements, ad hoc analysis, and finance projects</li></ul>ProfileThe ideal candidate for this Graduate Assistant Accountant position, should have the following:<ul><li>Recent graduate (or equivalent) with 6-12 months of accounting experience in a similar role</li><li>Experience in processing invoices and managing Accounts Payable</li><li>Strong academic background</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal</li><li>High standards of accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel</li><li>Interest in studying towards a qualification (ACCA/CIMA)</li></ul>Salary & Benefits£28,000 to £32,000 plus benefits:<ul><li>Study support package</li><li>Company bonus scheme</li><li>Enhanced pension scheme</li><li>Hybrid working - 3 days in office</li><li>Company mobile</li><li>Excellent career development opportunities</li><li>Regular socials and seasonal events</li></ul>The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
