We're looking for a skilled and motivated Junior Java Developer to join my clients' team and play a key role in enhancing and evolving their core YMS product as well as centrally deployed RESTful web services built with Quarkus. This is a hands-on role offering exposure across the full development lifecycle-from requirements analysis and design through to development, deployment, and providing 2nd-tier technical support to our US-based support team.You'll work in a collaborative environment that blends pair programming with independent development, making this an excellent opportunity to grow your expertise and take on new technical challenges.<h3 data-end="765" data-start="737">Key Responsibilities</h3><ul data-start="766" data-end="1194"><li data-start="766" data-end="824">Enhance and develop features for my clients' core product.</li><li data-start="825" data-end="883">Build and maintain RESTful web services using Quarkus.</li><li data-end="970" data-start="884">Participate in requirements gathering, design discussions, and technical planning.</li><li data-start="971" data-end="1037">Contribute to development, testing, and deployment activities.</li><li data-start="1038" data-end="1113">Provide second-tier technical support to the US Technical Support team.</li><li data-end="1194" data-start="1114">Collaborate closely with teammates using pair programming and agile practices.</li></ul><h3 data-start="1201" data-end="1237">Required Skills & Experience</h3><ul data-start="1238" data-end="1460"><li data-end="1280" data-start="1238">Strong Java SE development skills.</li><li data-end="1362" data-start="1281">Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Development principles.</li><li data-end="1423" data-start="1363">Experience with JUnit or similar testing frameworks.</li><li data-end="1460" data-start="1424">Good working knowledge of SQL.</li></ul><h3 data-start="1467" data-end="1492">Beneficial Skills</h3><ul data-start="1493" data-end="1868"><li data-start="1493" data-end="1531">Experience with IntelliJ IDEA.</li><li data-start="1532" data-end="1573">Knowledge of Git version control.</li><li data-start="1574" data-end="1605">Exposure to Java EE 8+.</li><li data-end="1646" data-start="1606">Some experience with Java Swing.</li><li data-start="1647" data-end="1694">Comfort working in a Linux environment.</li><li data-start="1695" data-end="1753">Familiarity with jMock or other mocking libraries.</li><li data-start="1754" data-end="1833">Experience with WildFly Application Server, Quarkus, or Docker.</li><li data-start="1834" data-end="1868">Understanding of PostgreSQL.</li></ul> Salary/package:<ul><li>£28,000-£32,000 DOE</li><li>Remote working as standard - proximity to Edinburgh desirable to engage in work socials/meet ups etc.</li><li>6% matched pension scheme</li></ul>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions. Robert Half Finance & Accounting are partnering with a leading Marketing Company in London to recruit an immediate, Interim Finance Manager for 3 Months.Role:Our client is looking for an immediate, interim Finance Manager to assist them for 3 months. You be will be responsible for following duties:<ul><li>Preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts, including analytical review of the results and communicating underlying trends to the FD.</li><li>Lead the development of annual budget and quarterly financial forecasts.</li><li>Review of nominal ledger and balance sheet accounts, including posting of accrual journals in line with budget and real time knowledge.</li><li>Review of accrued and deferred net sales in line with revenue recognition principals and preparation of journals</li><li>Monitor and manage the agency's cash flow to ensure liquidity and prevent financial risk and reporting to HQ - Munich on a weekly basis.</li><li>Oversee billing and credit control function</li><li>Lead year-end reporting and audit</li><li>Oversee WIP management</li><li>Sign-off payment runs and bank transactions</li><li>Ad hoc reporting</li><li>Lead charge ability and utilisation reporting meeting with annotated analysis and recommendations.</li><li>Reviews overhead budgets vs actuals. </li><li>Understands the requirements of cash flow for project work, assisting internal and external teams accordingly.</li><li>Helps drives commercial understanding and financial process throughout the client service team.</li><li>Work with clients on financial matters related to project budgets, invoicing, and payment schedules.</li><li>Completes Performance review meetings with direct reports and provides feedback on wider team when requested.</li><li>Helps support project teams, upskilling, training, inducting as required. Works with the Project team to ensure work is delivered to time, target and budget.</li><li>Manage and mentor the finance team, ensuring their professional development and effectiveness.</li><li>Business Partnering: Working closely with the Managing Director and Heads of Departments, including their account management and operations team to provide financial guidance and support for commercial decision making.</li></ul>Profile:The successful Interim Finance Manager will either be Part qualified or Qualified by Experience.You must be immediate or 1 weeks notice to be considered for this role.Client:Our client are a leading Marketing Company based in London.
