<p>Robert Half has partnered with a project-based business to recruit for a Financial Controller, based in <strong>South Leeds</strong>.</p><p>This is a senior finance position with responsibility for overseeing financial reporting, financial controls, planning and commercial performance, while partnering closely with operational and senior leadership teams.</p><p>Key responsibilities</p><ul><li>Lead monthly and annual financial reporting processes.</li><li>Maintain strong financial controls and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.</li><li>Oversee balance sheet management, reconciliations and financial reviews.</li><li>Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.</li><li>Provide financial analysis, insight and challenge to support business decision-making.</li><li>Partner with operational teams to monitor financial performance, costs and profitability.</li><li>Oversee the financial management of a portfolio of projects, identifying potential risks and opportunities.</li><li>Support cash flow, working capital and wider commercial initiatives.</li><li>Provide financial guidance and insight to senior stakeholders and project teams.</li><li>Lead, develop and support the finance team.</li><li>Drive improvements across finance processes, systems and reporting.</li></ul><p>About you</p><ul><li>Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).</li><li>Several years' post-qualified experience in a senior finance position.</li><li>Previous experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure or another project-based environment.</li><li>Strong background in financial control, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.</li><li>Experience supporting the financial management of projects and monitoring costs and profitability.</li><li>Commercially minded, with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insight.</li><li>Strong Excel and wider Microsoft Office skills.</li><li>Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.</li><li>Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working independently.</li><li>Previous experience managing, mentoring or developing finance professionals.</li></ul><p>The opportunity</p><p>The business has a strong pipeline of projects and is entering an exciting period of continued growth.
