<p></p><p>We are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy and fast-paced finance team based in Birmingham City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual who enjoys building strong customer relationships, managing a high-volume ledger, and driving cash collection performance.</p><p>Working closely with internal stakeholders and external clients, you will play a key role in maintaining cash flow, resolving account queries, and ensuring outstanding balances are collected efficiently.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Managing a high-volume portfolio of customer accounts.</li><li>Chasing outstanding debt via telephone, email, and written correspondence.</li><li>Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure timely payment of invoices.</li><li>Investigating and resolving invoice queries and payment disputes.</li><li>Allocating incoming payments and reconciling customer accounts.</li><li>Negotiating payment plans where appropriate.</li><li>Monitoring aged debt reports and escalating overdue accounts when necessary.</li><li>Producing regular debtor reports for management.</li><li>Working closely with operational teams to resolve billing issues and remove barriers to payment.</li><li>Maintaining accurate customer account records and detailed collection notes.</li><li>Supporting month-end processes and cash flow reporting activities.</li></ul><h2>About You</h2><ul><li>Previous Credit Control experience is essential.</li><li>Strong communication and negotiation skills.</li><li>Confident liaising with customers and stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Ability to manage a large ledger and prioritise workload effectively.</li><li>Good attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems.</li><li>Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative finance team.</li><li>Immediately available or available at short notice preferred.</li></ul><h2>What's on Offer</h2><ul><li>Birmingham City Centre location.</li><li>Immediate start available.</li><li>Supportive and friendly working environment.</li><li>Opportunity to gain valuable experience within a growing organisation.</li><li>Weekly pay and competitive hourly rate.</li></ul><br><p> </p><p> </p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
