The Managing Director champions strategic initiatives, fosters key client or stakeholder relationships, and builds high-performing teams. This position demands exceptional executive leadership, profound strategic vision, and proven capabilities in driving market share and profitability. Typically, 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, including significant time in executive management, is required. A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or relevant professional designation is highly preferred. A deep understanding of Canadian market dynamics, regulatory environments, and industry-specific challenges is paramount.

Typical managing director duties:

Develop and execute the strategic vision and annual operating plans for their assigned area.Oversee all aspects of operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and profitability.Drive business development and foster key relationships with clients, partners, or stakeholders.Manage profit and loss (P&L) responsibility, ensuring achievement of financial targets.Lead, mentor, and develop senior leadership teams, cultivating a high-performance culture.Identify and capitalize on market opportunities, driving innovation and competitive advantage.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal governance, particularly within the Canadian context.Report on performance, strategic progress, and market conditions to the Board and CEO.
