- <p><strong>Senior Data Engineer - Microsoft Fabric & dbt | Immediate start | 2-3 month contract</strong></p><p><br />We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Data Engineer with strong Microsoft Fabric and dbt expertise to support the final stages of a Microsoft Fabric implementation.</p><p><br />The foundational architecture and ingestion frameworks have already been established by an external consulting partner. We now need a specialist who can hit the ground running, complete the remaining implementation work and ensure the environment is production ready.</p><p><br /><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Finalise and optimise the existing Microsoft Fabric implementation, including Lakehouse architecture and Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers.</li><li>Implement dbt for data transformation, modelling and pipeline development.</li><li>Extend metadata-driven ingestion frameworks and integrate data from systems including Salesforce, and other enterprise applications.</li><li>Develop and troubleshoot data pipelines, APIs and connectivity solutions.</li><li>Support CI/CD, source control, deployment pipelines and Fabric Variable Libraries.</li><li>Collaborate with a small internal data team to ensure a smooth handover.</li></ul><p><br /><strong>What We're Looking For:</strong></p><ul><li>Proven hands-on Microsoft Fabric implementation experience.</li><li>Strong dbt, SQL/T-SQL and Python skills.</li><li>Experience with medallion architecture, Lakehouse and metadata-driven ingestion frameworks.</li><li>Strong understanding of data integration, APIs and pipeline development.</li><li>Azure DevOps, CI/CD and Fabric Variable Libraries experience highly regarded.</li><li>Ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex issues and deliver within tight timeframes.</li></ul><p><br />This is a delivery-focused contract suited to someone who has implemented Microsoft Fabric in production and can quickly take ownership of an existing environment.<br /><br />If you're available immediately or at short notice, we'd love to hear from you.
