Technical Lead - Digital Platforms | .NET / CMS We're looking for an experienced Technical Lead to join a major digital transformation program, helping shape and deliver a modern enterprise digital platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership role suited to someone who enjoys operating across architecture, engineering, CMS platforms and digital experience, while still being close enough to the code to make a real impact. You'll work across a modern web ecosystem involving .NET, CMS, React/Next.js, APIs, cloud platforms and enterprise integrations, providing technical direction across both internal teams and external delivery partners. What you'll be doing<ul><li>Lead the technical implementation of a modern enterprise digital platform and CMS</li><li>Define and maintain technical standards, architecture and engineering practices</li><li>Work across .NET-based CMS platforms, including Umbraco or similar enterprise CMS technologies</li><li>Provide technical leadership across React/Next.js front-end applications and API-first integrations</li><li>Work closely with architecture, product, UX, development and business stakeholders</li><li>Review solution designs, code and technical implementations</li><li>Lead technical discussions and solution design workshops</li><li>Provide technical oversight of external vendors and implementation partners</li><li>Identify technical risks, dependencies and architectural trade-offs</li><li>Help establish scalable, secure and maintainable digital platforms</li><li>Contribute hands-on where required, including development, troubleshooting and code reviews</li><li>Support the evolution of design systems, reusable components and modern digital experiences</li></ul> You'll ideally have:<ul><li>5+ years' experience in technical leadership across complex digital platforms or website transformation programs</li><li>Strong experience with .NET and modern CMS platforms</li><li>Experience with Umbraco, Sitecore, Optimizely, Kentico, DNN or another enterprise .NET-based CMS would be highly relevant</li><li>Strong understanding of headless/hybrid CMS architectures</li><li>Experience with React and/or Next.js</li><li>Strong API, integration and cloud architecture experience</li><li>Experience working with Azure or another major cloud platform</li><li>Experience integrating CMS platforms with CRM, identity, payments or other enterprise systems</li><li>Experience with enterprise design systems, component libraries and/or Storybook</li><li>The ability to move between high-level architecture and detailed technical implementation</li><li>Experience working with and providing technical oversight to external vendors</li><li>Strong stakeholder communication and the ability to explain technical options and trade-offs to non-technical audiences</li></ul> The Opportunity This is an opportunity to take a genuine technical leadership role within a significant digital transformation program, with the scope to influence architecture, engineering standards, platform strategy and the long-term digital experience.
