This is a 12-month contract offering exposure to a business-critical platform within a complex, highly regulated enterprise environment.<br /><br /></p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Role<br /></span></strong></p><ul><li>Design, develop and maintain production-grade Python applications, services and automation solutions.</li><li>Support the implementation and operationalisation of an enterprise identity-aware traffic proxy solution.</li><li>Integrate the platform with network security, authentication and enterprise infrastructure systems.</li><li>Collaborate with security, network, infrastructure and Site Reliability Engineering teams.</li><li>Develop APIs and integration components connecting internal platforms and third-party security technologies.</li><li>Establish monitoring, logging, alerting and operational controls to support production stability.</li><li>Perform system testing, integration testing, performance validation and production-readiness assessments.</li><li>Support production deployment, enterprise-wide rollout and post-implementation optimisation.</li><li>Investigate production incidents, conduct root-cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes.</li><li>Contribute to technical documentation, deployment procedures and operational support processes.</li></ul><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><br />Your Profile</span></strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 5 years of professional Python development experience.</li><li>Strong hands-on experience developing production-grade Python applications, services or automation platforms.</li><li>Good knowledge of Linux environments, APIs, software integration and automated testing.</li><li>Experience in platform engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, infrastructure automation or network security.</li><li>Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, proxies and traffic routing.</li><li>Exposure to OAuth, OIDC, SAML, LDAP, Active Directory or Kerberos would be advantageous.</li><li>Experience with enterprise security, Zero Trust, SASE or secure web gateway technologies is desirable.</li><li>Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes and observability tools is preferred.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting, communication and cross-functional stakeholder-management skills.</li><li>Previous experience in banking, financial services or another regulated environment is advantageous.</li></ul><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><br />Apply Today</span></strong></p>Please send your resume in WORD format only, quoting the job title Senior Python Developer, by clicking the apply button.
