<p><strong>Client Profile</strong></p><p>Japan-based branch of a global specialty chemicals and materials company</p><p data-start="226" data-end="601">Join a leading global specialty chemicals and materials company's Japan branch as a Quality Assurance Specialist, ensuring that products and processes meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This role is ideal for a professional passionate about maintaining operational excellence and regulatory integrity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</p><p data-start="603" data-end="631"><strong data-start="607" data-end="631">Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures.</li><li>Conduct audits and inspections of production processes and finished products.</li><li>Identify quality issues and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).</li><li>Manage and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in compliance with local and global regulations.</li><li>Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for SDS documentation updates.</li><li>Ensure proper labeling and handling of hazardous materials per SDS guidelines.</li><li>Register chemical substances and manage related SDS documentation.</li><li>Support import/export control tasks, including COA issuance.</li><li>Assist with internal and external audits, including ISO and regulatory inspections.</li><li>Collaborate across production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality concerns.</li><li>Maintain quality documentation, test results, and compliance records.</li></ul><p data-start="1535" data-end="1557"><strong data-start="1539" data-end="1557">Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Quality Management, or related field.</li><li>Proven experience in quality assurance or control within manufacturing or technical settings.</li><li>Knowledge of SDS regulations (GHS, REACH, OSHA) and chemical safety documentation.</li><li>Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.</li><li>Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality-related software tools.</li><li>Business-level Japanese and preferably English communication skills.</li></ul><p data-start="2109" data-end="2125"><strong data-start="2109" data-end="2123">Preferred</strong></p><ul><li>Certification in Six Sigma, CQE, or equivalent.</li><li>Experience with SPC, RCA, and SDS management systems.</li></ul><p><strong>Salary</strong></p><p>7.5M JPY</p><p><strong>Location</strong></p><p>Ibaraki</p><p> </p><p>Reference Number: 06940-0013309694</p><p> </p><p><em>By clicking 'apply', you give your express consent that Robert Half may use your personal information to process your job application and to contact you from time to time for future employment opportunities.
