  • <p>Robert Half Technology are assisting a leading financial services organisation to recruit a Senior Mac Engineer on a contract basis. Hybrid working - London based.</p><p><strong>Role</strong></p><ul><li><p>The Senior Mac Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day management, security and optimisation of the organisation's Apple endpoint environment.</p></li><li><p>Take ownership of the Mac estate, ensuring devices are correctly configured, patched, compliant and ready for users across the business.</p></li><li><p>Manage Microsoft Intune as the primary endpoint management platform, including enrolment, configuration, application deployment, compliance and policy management.</p></li><li><p>Work across Apple Business Manager to support automated device deployment and streamlined provisioning of new hardware.</p></li><li><p>Oversee Mac hardware throughout its lifecycle, including deployment, maintenance, replacement, recovery and secure decommissioning.</p></li><li><p>Manage endpoint access and security in conjunction with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365, supporting authentication, SSO, MFA and appropriate access controls.</p></li><li><p>Develop and maintain Conditional Access and device compliance controls, ensuring corporate resources are appropriately protected.</p></li><li><p>Act as a key technical point of contact for Mac-related incidents and requests, investigating issues and providing effective resolutions.</p></li><li><p>Work closely with the wider IT function to deliver a smooth employee technology experience, particularly around new starter setup, leavers and hardware changes.</p></li><li><p>Support the IT service desk by analysing recurring incidents, identifying root causes and introducing improvements to reduce repeat tickets.</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate technical records covering devices, applications, configurations and software assets.</p></li><li><p>Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, support procedures and operational runbooks.</p></li><li><p>Contribute to the organisation's wider security and compliance programme, including the maintenance of IT controls and supporting ISO 27001 evidence requirements.</p></li><li><p>Identify opportunities to use automation and AI to streamline endpoint administration, reporting, provisioning and routine support activity.</p></li><li><p>Work autonomously within an established environment, identifying areas for improvement while maintaining stability across the existing technology estate.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Profile</strong></p><ul><li><p>The successful candidate will have substantial hands-on experience supporting and administering macOS in a business environment.</p></li><li><p>Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Intune, particularly around Mac enrolment, configuration profiles, application management, patching and compliance.</p></li><li><p>Experience with Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrolment / zero-touch provisioning.</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of the wider Apple endpoint lifecycle, including deployment, troubleshooting, security and device retirement.</p></li><li><p>Good knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365, including authentication, identity, licensing and access management.</p></li><li><p>Experience working with Conditional Access, MFA, SSO and endpoint compliance policies.</p></li><li><p>A strong understanding of endpoint security and identity/access management within a corporate environment.</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex Mac and endpoint issues in a structured and methodical manner.</p></li><li><p>Experience working with an ITSM platform such as Zendesk, ServiceNow or a similar ticketing environment.</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of IT operational processes, including onboarding, offboarding, asset management and service management.</p></li><li><p>Experience operating within a security-conscious or regulated organisation would be highly beneficial.</p></li><li><p>Exposure to ISO 27001, IT security controls, audits or customer security assessments would be advantageous.</p></li><li><p>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support senior stakeholders as well as non-technical users.</p></li><li><p>Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working independently within a growing technology organisation.</p></li><li><p>A genuine interest in automation, scripting and AI-enabled IT operations would be advantageous.</p></li><li><p>Previous contract, interim or scale-up experience would be beneficial.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Company</strong></p><ul><li><p>Leading financial services organisation with a technology-focused environment.</p></li><li><p>London-based organisation with an established and growing workforce.</p></li><li><p>Hybrid working, combining London office and remote working.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Salary &amp;
