The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager on behalf of a specialist Engineering business with offices in Leighton Buzzard.The RoleAs Finance Manager you will assist the FC in delivering accurate and timely financial and commercial reporting for the UK business. Day to day duties will consist of:<ul><li>Management of the outsourced AP function</li><li>Statutory Accounts and Treasury Management</li><li>Contract Analysis and WIP reporting with associated Business Partnering</li><li>Intercompany recharging</li><li>Balance sheet reconciliations</li><li>Maintenance of the SAP system</li><li>Internal and external audits</li><li>Tax submissions</li><li>Board level reporting</li></ul>Your ProfileYou will be a Qualified and Technically Strong Accountant either from a Practice or Industry environment with the ability to provide a best in class financial reporting process whilst also looking after the strategic performance and direction of the business. Robert Half are working in exclusive partnership with an established and growing consultancy based in Oxford to recruit a Senior Finance Manager on a part-time basis (22.5 hours). This is a permanent position created due to internal promotion, a great opportunity to join an established firm in a role offering progression and development. This is as a part-time position (22.5 hours) with ownership as a senior leader and ability to grow in responsibility, you will come from a technical and controls background with an understanding of tax requirements and ability to provide leadership within a stable function.The Senior Finance Manager position will be paying in the region of £80,000 to £85,000 per annum (full time equivalent, pro rata to 22.5 hours) with hybrid working (1-2 days on site) and a great prospect for future development. Other benefits include salary sacrifice pension, PMI, company bonus scheme. Key responsibilities include<ul style="text-align: justify;"><li>Lead month end process for overall group and associated entities</li><li>Lead the year end close process ensuring robust controls and timely reporting alongside being key liaison with the auditors</li><li>Own and drive continuous improvement within financial reporting and controls processes</li><li>Preparation of statutory financial statements across the group and international entities</li><li>Oversee group tax return preparation and submission alongside managing external relationships</li><li>Key advisor to the business in areas of tax compliance and technical guidance, ensuring mitigation of risk and adherence to regulation</li><li>Act as a catalyst for finance transformation and process improvement initiatives, adoption of AI enablement and streamlining of business-as-usual areas</li><li>Leadership position within the finance function, deputising for the CFO and comfortable with a likely progression to direct team management</li></ul> About your experience<ul><li style="text-align: justify;">Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), this role would suit a candidate trained through practice but all prior experience considered</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Experience within partnership accounts, either gained in house or through practice audit/preparation is advantageous</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Ability to take ownership and responsibility of the accounting function, you will initially be seen as a Senior Leader with a likely route to direct team management</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Breadth of experience across statutory accounting and compliance, tax, treasury and reporting</li></ul>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
