We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead a small technical team and oversee IT infrastructure, systems and support services across a multi-site organisation. This is a permanent role paying up to £63,500 plus company car, with hybrid working after successful completion of probation.This is a hands-on leadership role, combining day-to-day operational responsibility with project delivery, team development and continuous improvement. You will work closely with business systems colleagues to ensure technology supports business performance, security and efficiency.Key Responsibilities<ul data-spread="false"><li>Lead, mentor and develop the internal IT team, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.</li><li>Oversee IT support, service desk operations and service level agreements.</li><li>Manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, applications, devices and communications.</li><li>Plan and deliver IT projects, managing resources, budgets, suppliers and timescales.</li><li>Support IT strategy, technology improvements and business transformation initiatives.</li><li>Maintain cyber security, data protection, system updates and IT governance.</li><li>Develop and test business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements.</li><li>Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting when required</li></ul>About You<ul data-spread="false"><li>Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Active Directory, SharePoint Online and SQL Server.</li><li>Good understanding of networking, storage, virtualisation and remote desktop technologies.</li><li>Knowledge of cyber security, GDPR and IT governance.</li><li>Proven IT project management and service delivery experience.</li><li>Strong leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.</li><li>A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on ownership and continuous improvement.</li></ul>On Offer<ul><li>Salary up to £63,500</li><li>Company car</li><li>Hybrid working - 3 days a week in Melksham</li><li>Competitive benefits</li></ul>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions. Robert Half Technology are assisting a growing technology organisation to recruit an IT Manager on a contract basis. 6-month minimum contract. Part-time working - 3 days per week. Hybrid working - London based. ASAP start.Role<ul data-spread="false"><li>The IT Manager will manage and maintain the organisation's IT environment, ensuring reliable, secure and efficient day-to-day operations.</li><li>Manage the company's macOS and Apple device estate, including device enrolment, configuration, application deployment, patching and compliance.</li><li>Administer endpoint management platforms including Microsoft Intune and JAMF, supporting device provisioning and lifecycle management.</li><li>Manage Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including users, groups, permissions, licensing, MFA, SSO and Conditional Access.</li><li>Provide hands-on IT support across hardware, software, endpoint, identity and access issues.</li><li>Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including user accounts, access and device provisioning.</li><li>Maintain IT assets, software records, documentation, processes and support procedures.</li><li>Support IT security and compliance requirements, ensuring devices and users remain appropriately managed and secure.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve and automate IT processes, including device provisioning, reporting and routine support activities.</li></ul>Profile<ul data-spread="false"><li>The IT Manager will have strong experience in IT Support, IT Operations, Endpoint Management or a similar role.</li><li>Strong hands-on experience supporting macOS and Apple devices.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Intune, JAMF or other MDM technologies.</li><li>Strong Microsoft 365 and Entra ID / Azure AD experience.</li><li>Good understanding of MFA, SSO, Conditional Access and identity management.</li><li>Experience with Apple Business Manager and automated device enrolment would be advantageous.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with strong attention to detail.</li><li>Strong communication and organisational abilities, with the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a wider team.</li></ul>Company<ul data-spread="false"><li>Growing technology organisation with offices in London</li><li>Hybrid working - 3 days per week, part-time</li><li>6-month minimum contract</li><li>ASAP start</li></ul>Salary & BenefitsThe contract rate is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
