- <p>Robert Half is recruiting for an experienced <strong>Accounting Business Analyst</strong> to join a client's <strong>Finance team</strong> in <strong>West Leeds</strong> on an initial <strong>6-month contract</strong>.</p><p>This role will focus on defining and refining requirements for the <strong>accounting business layer</strong>, working closely with finance stakeholders to ensure data solutions are robust, insightful, and fit for purpose.</p><p>Working as part of a cross-functional team of <strong>engineers, testers, tech lead, and product owner</strong>, you will translate finance needs into clear, actionable requirements and help deliver scalable solutions that improve on existing processes.</p><p>Key responsibilities</p><ul><li>Gather, analyse, and document business requirements from finance stakeholders</li><li>Use<strong> business analytic systems</strong> to help define reporting and dashboard requirements</li><li>Challenge requests to identify true business needs</li><li>Act as the link between finance users and the technical delivery team</li><li>Support solution design, backlog prioritisation, demos, and UAT</li><li>Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide updates to the Head of Finance Data</li></ul><p>About you</p><ul><li>Proven Business Analyst experience in a <strong>finance or accounting environment</strong></li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Experience with <strong>Power Bi / Tableau</strong> or similar reporting tools</li><li>Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills</li><li>Comfortable working in <strong>agile, cross-functional teams</strong></li></ul><p> </p><p>This role requires <strong>3 days per week on site in West Leeds</strong>.</p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
