Robert Half are partnering exclusively with a high-growth renewable energy platform to appoint an Investment Associate into their UK team.Backed by a substantial international renewable energy group, the business combines entrepreneurial pace with institutional backing and a significant live project pipeline.With a portfolio of operational and under-construction assets and further acquisitions in progress, this is an organisation scaling rapidly in one of the most critical infrastructure sectors supporting the UK's energy transition.<h2 data-end="821" data-start="810">The Role</h2>The Investment Associate will play a key role in the commercial and investment appraisal of the company's growing portfolio.This is not a back-office modelling role. You will be actively involved across the full project lifecycle, working directly with senior leadership and contributing to strategic decision-making.Key responsibilities include:<ul data-end="1803" data-start="1175"><li data-end="1272" data-start="1175">Ownership and development of best-in-class financial models for live and prospective projects</li><li data-end="1350" data-start="1273">Commercial appraisal of battery storage assets and pipeline opportunities</li><li data-end="1419" data-start="1351">Supporting acquisitions, due diligence and transaction execution</li><li data-end="1482" data-start="1420">Participation in debt and equity finance raising processes</li><li data-end="1539" data-start="1483">Preparation of investment memoranda and board papers</li><li data-end="1642" data-start="1540">Working closely with technical, legal and commercial stakeholders to refine investment assumptions</li><li data-start="1643" data-end="1733">Reviewing third-party advisor outputs and incorporating insights into valuation models</li><li data-start="1734" data-end="1803">Supporting negotiation of acquisition and financing documentation</li></ul>This role offers genuine exposure to infrastructure investing, M&A activity and capital raising within a fast-growing platform environment.<h2 data-start="1951" data-end="1963">About You</h2>We are seeking a commercially astute finance professional with:<ul data-start="2030" data-end="2458"><li data-end="2071" data-start="2030">ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CFA qualification</li><li data-start="2072" data-end="2163">Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in a transaction-focused or analytical environment</li><li data-end="2223" data-start="2164">Strong financial modelling and DCF valuation capability</li><li data-start="2224" data-end="2298">Experience supporting due diligence and investment appraisal processes</li><li data-start="2299" data-end="2324">Advanced Excel skills</li><li data-start="2325" data-end="2401">The ability to distil complex information into clear commercial insights</li><li data-start="2402" data-end="2458">Confidence working directly with senior stakeholders</li></ul>Prior renewables or energy experience is advantageous but not essential.
