  • <p>Robert Half has partnered with a growing services business to recruit for a Bid Manager.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>Our client is looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join their commercial team. Sitting at the heart of the sales cycle, you will take qualified opportunities through solution design, bid development and proposal submission, right through to contract award and handover into delivery. This is a hands on role for a bid professional who genuinely enjoys writing and shaping content, not just coordinating it. The role also carries line management responsibility for a junior member of the bid team.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Take ownership of qualified opportunities, developing costed, deliverable solutions in response to client specifications</li><li>Translate tender specifications and scope documents into detailed proposals, working closely with operational and finance colleagues</li><li>Develop competitive pricing models and commercial proposals for internal sign off</li><li>Lead bid writing and proposal management for assigned opportunities, producing persuasive, evaluator focused content</li><li>Manage bid plans, timelines and cross functional input across the business</li><li>Maintain a library of reusable bid content, including case studies, CVs and method statements</li><li>Manage a concurrent portfolio of bids at various pipeline stages, working to tight deadlines</li><li>Support bid/no bid decision making and maintain accurate CRM and pipeline records</li><li>Manage portal based tender activity, including clarification questions and formal submissions</li><li>Represent the business in client facing meetings during the bid process</li><li>Support handover of awarded contracts into delivery</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Proven track record as a Bid Manager, managing the full bid lifecycle from qualification through to award</li><li>Strong, independent bid writing skills, able to produce high quality content rather than solely coordinating others</li><li>Experience of solution design within a services based or project driven environment</li><li>Strong commercial acumen, including pricing models, margins and risk</li><li>Experience managing multiple concurrent bids to tight deadlines</li><li>Solid experience with formal tender and procurement processes and e-tendering platforms</li><li>Strong project management and organisational skills</li><li>Experience managing or mentoring junior colleagues</li><li>High IT literacy, including Microsoft Office, CRM systems and document collaboration tools</li></ul><p><strong>Package</strong></p><ul><li>Salary: £55,000</li><li>Excellent benefits</li><li>Hybrid working: 3 days per week in the office</li></ul><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
