Driven by a collaborative, values-led culture, they are now looking to recruit an ambitious Financial Controller to join their four-person finance leadership structure.</p><h2 data-path-to-node="2">The Role</h2><p id="p-rc_6a41091968a3b6fc-127" data-path-to-node="3">Reporting directly to the CFO, this role takes full ownership of the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of the group's core accounting records and General Ledger. Managing a direct team of four and partnering with senior heads across 25 operational departments, you will play a central role in maintaining financial discipline and modernising core systems.</p><p data-path-to-node="4">Key responsibilities include:</p><ul data-path-to-node="5"><li><p data-path-to-node="5,0,0" id="p-rc_6a41091968a3b6fc-128">Inspiring, coaching, and setting clear direction for a team of four covering Accounts Payable, Revenue & Credit, Cashier, and Management Accounts.</p></li><li><p id="p-rc_6a41091968a3b6fc-129" data-path-to-node="5,1,0">Overseeing group accounting operations, maintaining robust financial controls, and collaborating with internal audit and compliance teams.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="5,2,0" id="p-rc_6a41091968a3b6fc-130">Driving system optimisation and process automation across the finance function, leveraging modern IT tools and AI solutions where appropriate.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="5,3,0" id="p-rc_6a41091968a3b6fc-131">Managing working capital, balance sheet reconciliations, treasury, and inputs into monthly cash flow forecasting.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="5,4,0" id="p-rc_6a41091968a3b6fc-132">Partnering with senior managers across 25 operational business functions to ensure financial accuracy at every level.</p></li></ul><h2 data-path-to-node="6">Your Profile</h2><p data-path-to-node="7">To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified finance leader who thrives when managing people, tightening controls, and driving digital transformation.</p><p data-path-to-node="8">Essential criteria:</p><ul data-path-to-node="9"><li><p id="p-rc_6a41091968a3b6fc-133" data-path-to-node="9,0,0">Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with several years of post-qualification experience in industry or commerce.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="9,1,0" id="p-rc_6a41091968a3b6fc-134">Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing direct reports within a finance function.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="9,2,0" id="p-rc_6a41091968a3b6fc-135">Strong track record of achievements over 3-5 years in a Financial Controller or Finance Manager role.</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="9,3,0" id="p-rc_6a41091968a3b6fc-136">Hands-on experience driving finance system improvements, process automation, or digital transformation initiatives.</p></li><li><p id="p-rc_6a41091968a3b6fc-137" data-path-to-node="9,4,0">Advanced Excel capabilities and overall technical fluency, with a tech-forward mindset around automation.</p></li><li><p id="p-rc_6a41091968a3b6fc-138" data-path-to-node="9,5,0">Confident communication and influencing skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.</p></li></ul><h2 data-path-to-node="10">Salary & Benefits</h2><ul data-path-to-node="11"><li><p data-path-to-node="1,0,0">Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 per annum</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="1,1,0">Bonus: Up to 20% performance-related bonus</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="1,2,0">Working Model: 4 days per week in their East London office (free on-site car parking provided)</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="1,3,0">Pension: Matched pension scheme with up to 15% company contribution</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="1,4,0">Healthcare & Wellbeing: Private Health Insurance (AXA), biennial Nuffield Health assessment, free on-site gym, and an Employee Assistance Programme</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="1,5,0">Financial Security: Life Assurance (4x salary) and Income Protection (75% of salary for up to 2 years)</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="1,6,0">Holidays & Perks: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, season ticket loan, and cycle to work schem</p></li><li><p data-path-to-node="11,0,0"> </p></li></ul><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
