<p><strong>ROLE:</strong> Logistics/Warehouse Consolidation Project Manager</p><p><strong>LENGTH:</strong> 6 Months</p><p><strong>LOCATION: </strong>Remote - UK based</p><p><strong>PAY: </strong>Competitive day rate</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>The Logistics/Warehouse Consolidation Project Manager role supports the wider programme of works to drive transformation within the pharmaceutical manufacturing network. Reporting to the Programme Manager, the role focuses on planning and executing warehouse consolidation operations across Europe, ensuring operational readiness while managing stakeholders effectively.</p><p><strong>Job Purpose:</strong></p><p>The ideal candidate will lead the consolidation of warehouse facilities across Europe, including operations improvement and process harmonisation, within the scope of a broader transformation programme. This role will deliver end-to-end project management, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational goals.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>Project Leadership & Execution:</p><p>* Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle of warehouse consolidation across Europe, including initiation, project planning, risk management, resource allocation, and execution.</p><p>* Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to optimise warehouse operations, layouts, and workflows.</p><p>* Oversee the development and implementation of warehouse management systems (WMS) as part of the transformation.</p><p>Feasibility & Planning Phase:</p><p>* Support feasibility studies across related workstreams to ensure well-informed planning and decision-making.</p><p>* Develop detailed project plans to define scope, deliverables, timelines, and interdependencies within the larger transformation programme.</p><p>* Ensure that programme updates, recommendations, and documentation are aligned with the feasibility and planning steering process.</p><p>Regulatory Adherence (as applicable):</p><p>* Consult with quality and regulatory stakeholders to ensure that warehouse consolidation plans are compliant with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and other relevant guidelines.</p><p>* Partner with legal and compliance teams to identify and mitigate risks related to regulatory adherence.</p><p>Stakeholder Collaboration:</p><p>* Establish and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, manufacturing, quality, logistics, IT, and external vendors.</p><p>* Communicate the project's progress and risks effectively to senior leadership, steering committees, and other stakeholders.</p><p>* Facilitate workshops and meetings to ensure alignment across teams and change acceptance by all stakeholders.</p><p>Performance Tracking:</p><p>* Define KPIs and other success metrics related to warehouse consolidation and operations improvement.</p><p>* Provide regular status updates, dashboards, and governance reports to the wider programme team.</p><p>* Track milestones, identify potential bottlenecks, and manage budgets for delivery success.</p><p><strong>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):</strong></p><p>* Successful consolidation of warehouses to meet defined project scope and operational readiness objectives.</p><p>* On-time achievement of milestones and deliverables, with minimal budget variance.</p><p>* Achievement of process and system efficiencies following warehouse consolidation.</p><p>* Stakeholder satisfaction and effective vendor management.</p><p><strong>Competencies:</strong></p><p>* Entrepreneurial & Commercial Thinking</p><p>* Building Relationships & Working Effectively with Teams</p><p>* Delivering Results & Meeting Expectations</p><p>* Adapting to Change & Driving Innovation</p><p><strong>Person Specification:</strong></p><p>Essential Skills and Experience:</p><p>* A minimum of 7-10 years of project management experience within warehouse/logistics operations, ideally in supply chain transformation or consolidation projects.</p><p>* Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale warehouse consolidation processes, including vendor contract management and resource planning.</p><p>* Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) selection, implementation, or upgrades.</p><p>* Strong project management skills, including risk assessment, budget management, and interdependency tracking.</p><p>* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing abilities across internal and external audiences.</p><p>* Proficient in project management tools like MS Project or similar software.</p><p>* Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities.</p><p>Desirable Skills and Experience:</p><p>* Previous experience in regulated pharmaceutical environments or GDP compliance projects.</p><p>* Knowledge of best practices in warehouse and distribution processes within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.</p><p>* Familiarity with managing sustainability practices in logistics or facility consolidation.</p><p>* Background in matrix-managed or global operational roles.</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p>* A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in logistics, supply chain, engineering, or a related field.</p><p>* Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or MSP are essential.</p><p>* Additional certifications related to warehousing or supply chain operations are advantageous.</p><p><strong>Additional Details:</strong></p><p>* This is a UK-based remote role, requiring travel within Europe (approximately 20-40%).</p><p>* As part of the wider programme of works, the role may require occasional engagement with senior steering committees.</p><p> </p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
