  • <p>Robert Half are working with a Wiltshire based organisation to recruit a Payroll Manager on a 6 months FTC basis.</p><p> </p><p>Office based, with some flexibility.</p><p> </p><p>Payroll Manager to take ownership of the end-to-end payroll operation and act as the in-house expert for pension administration.</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong technical payroll knowledge with a passion for process improvement, compliance and stakeholder support.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>Payroll</p><ul><li>Manage the full monthly payroll cycle across multiple employee groups.</li><li>Process starters, leavers, contractual changes, overtime, allowances and statutory payments.</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely HMRC submissions, PAYE, National Insurance and statutory deductions.</li><li>Reconcile payroll reports and control accounts, resolving discrepancies where required.</li><li>Produce payroll journals and support monthly financial reporting.</li><li>Maintain robust payroll controls, ensuring audit readiness and GDPR compliance.</li><li>Support annual audits and year-end payroll activities.</li></ul><p>Pensions</p><ul><li>Lead the administration of all pension schemes.</li><li>Ensure accurate pension contributions, returns and statutory submissions.</li><li>Manage auto-enrolment and re-enrolment processes.</li><li>Act as the organisation's subject matter expert on pensions legislation and TPS compliance.</li><li>Support employees with pension-related queries and guidance.</li></ul><p>Continuous Improvement</p><ul><li>Review and enhance payroll processes, improving efficiency and reducing manual administration.</li><li>Support payroll, HR and finance system upgrades and developments.</li><li>Work closely with HR, Finance and IT teams to improve system integration and data accuracy.</li><li>Develop effective controls, workflows and governance procedures.</li></ul><p>Stakeholder Management</p><ul><li>Serve as the primary contact for payroll and pensions queries.</li><li>Build strong relationships across HR, Finance and wider business functions.</li><li>Provide clear and professional communication to stakeholders at all levels.</li></ul><p>Key requirements:</p><ul><li>Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll.</li><li>Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC regulations and compliance requirements.</li><li>Experience administering pension schemes.</li><li>Excellent reconciliation, reporting and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Strong systems knowledge and experience improving payroll processes.</li><li>Confident working with senior stakeholders and handling confidential information.</li><li>High levels of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.   • <p>The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Group Financial Controller on behalf of a specialist technology services provider with offices in Milton Keynes.</p><p>The Role</p><p>As Group Financial Controller you will work closely with the CFO and take responsibility for core financial reporting and commercial development. Day to day duties will consist of:</p><ul><li>Production of quarterly consolidated reporting for UK and foreign entities</li><li>Production of individual and consolidated group financial statements</li><li>Review of monthly management accounts</li><li>Develop, maintain and improve the financial control environment</li><li>Production of the company/group business plan and budget to aid in strategic development and growth</li><li>Management of working capital and cashflow, through regular cashflow forecasting</li><li>Production of regular monthly and other periodic financial returns to banks, ensuring compliance with banking covenants</li><li>Working with the CFO to prepare business cases and financial models for new sites and customers</li><li>Integration of new companies</li><li>Tax compliance ownership - VAT, corporation tax, payroll, CIS</li><li>Liaison with insurance brokers and other advisors as required</li><li>Team Management</li></ul><p>Your Profile</p><p>You will be a Qualified Chartered Accountant most likely from a large accounting firm and with a number of years experience post practice and technically strong in accounting across group environments.
