<p> </p>Robert Half are recruiting for an experienced Technical Architect to support a high‑profile technical carve‑out for a private‑equity‑backed client on an inital 4 month contract.<br> <br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br><ul><li>Take ownership of the technical architecture workstream within a complex business carve‑out.</li><li>Conduct a full review of the existing landscape including integrations, environments, data flows and system dependencies.</li><li>Assess current progress, architectural documentation, technical risks, and critical gaps.</li><li>Re‑establish architectural governance, technical design authority, and solution assurance processes.</li><li>Define and document the target‑state architecture for the standalone business, covering applications, data, integrations and infrastructure.</li><li>Work closely with SAP SMEs, business leads, and third‑party delivery partners to validate design decisions.</li><li>Oversee and guide key platforms within scope, including:<ul><li>SAP (core ERP) - essential</li><li>COM / Order Management systems</li><li>Data Warehouse / Vision BI</li><li>OpenText (Malam)</li><li>Warehouse mobility / handheld solutions (Zetes or similar)</li></ul></li><li>Support environment separation, data migration planning, cutover readiness and testing strategies.</li><li>Identify architecture risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain programme timelines.</li><li>Ensure strong communication across business, IT, and consultancy teams.</li><li>Provide clear architectural recommendations and regular updates to senior stakeholders.</li></ul><h2><strong>Experience:</strong></h2><ul><li>Proven experience as a Technical Architect on large‑scale ERP, integration, or enterprise platform programmes.</li><li>Strong SAP architectural background, including integrations, data flows, and cross‑module dependencies.</li><li>Experience working on carve‑outs, divestitures, M&A separations, or accelerated PE‑backed programmes.</li><li>Understanding of COM / Order Management processes and system integration points.</li><li>Experience of Data Warehouse environments, ideally including Vision BI.</li><li>Familiarity with OpenText (preferably Malam‑delivered solutions).</li><li>Exposure to warehouse mobility or handheld scanning solutions such as Zetes.</li><li>Strong integration knowledge (IDocs, APIs, middleware, interface design).</li><li>Ability to assess in‑flight projects, stabilise delivery, and introduce governance.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and third‑party partners.</li><li>Comfortable working in fast‑paced, high‑visibility environments with demanding timelines.</li></ul><h2><strong>Contract</strong></h2><ul><li>Initial 4‑month contract (with potential extension)</li><li>Inside IR35 via Umbrella </li><li>UK Remote with occasional travel to london</li></ul><br><p> </p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
