A Program Manager - Technology leads complex technology programs and coordinates multiple initiatives to ensure successful delivery through effective planning, governance and stakeholder management. They oversee technology strategies, develop roadmaps, manage dependencies, monitor delivery performance, and provide visibility into progress, risks and outcomes.Working closely with technology leaders, project teams, business stakeholders, software development teams, infrastructure groups and external partners, Program Managers - Technology align technology initiatives with business goals, improve collaboration and ensure technology investments deliver business value.

Typical program manager – technology duties:

Lead technology programs through the full lifecycle, including planning, initiation, execution, implementation and closeout, using established program and project management methodologies.Develop and maintain technology program roadmaps that align objectives, timelines, milestones, technical deliverables and dependencies across multiple initiatives.Coordinate cross-functional technology teams, including software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and business stakeholders, to ensure successful program delivery.Establish technology governance practices, reporting structures and communication processes to improve visibility, accountability and delivery consistency.Manage program risks, technical dependencies, resource constraints and delivery challenges while developing mitigation strategies and escalating issues when required.Facilitate technology program meetings, track action items and maintain accountability for decisions, deliverables and project milestones.Prepare executive-level dashboards, status reports and technology updates that provide leadership with visibility into program performance, risks and opportunities.Analyze technology program data to support prioritization, resource planning and informed decision-making.Support capacity planning by evaluating technology resource needs, identifying competing priorities and managing dependencies across initiatives.Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure solutions align with organizational goals, technical standards and operational requirements.Support technology transformation initiatives, system implementations, application development projects and process improvement efforts.Improve technology program management practices by enhancing delivery frameworks, governance processes, reporting methods and operational workflows.Identify opportunities to standardize technology delivery practices, improve execution efficiency and strengthen organizational technology capabilities.
