They apply developing legal expertise and professional judgment to prepare documents, advise on routine legal issues, manage files and support negotiations or proceedings with limited supervision.Working closely with clients, senior lawyers, legal teams and external stakeholders, these professionals contribute to effective legal solutions, quality legal services and successful client outcomes while continuing to build their practice expertise.

Typical lawyer, 3 years' experience duties:

Independently manage assigned legal tasks and matters while seeking guidance on complex issues or strategic decisions.Conduct legal research and provide analysis on legislation, regulations, case law and legal issues relevant to client matters.Draft, review and negotiate legal documents, agreements, pleadings, correspondence and other legal materials.Provide legal advice and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders on routine legal matters within their area of expertise.Manage legal files, including documentation, timelines, deadlines and communication with relevant parties.Participate in negotiations, mediations, hearings, transactions or other legal proceedings as required.Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, regulators and external stakeholders to advance legal matters.Prepare legal opinions, memoranda, reports and summaries to support informed decision-making.Assist with developing legal strategies and identifying risks, opportunities and practical solutions for clients.Review and analyze contracts, policies and legal documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with applicable requirements.Maintain knowledge of developments in relevant legislation, regulations and industry practices.Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants and other legal professionals to support efficient file management and client service.Contribute to improvements in legal processes, knowledge sharing and team practices.
