Typical data engineer duties:
Design, develop, and implement data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.Extract data from various sources (databases, APIs, log files, etc.) and ensure data quality.Clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis using scripting languages and data manipulation tools.Build and maintain data warehouses and data lakes for efficient data storage and retrieval.Automate data pipelines and workflows for efficient and reliable data delivery.Select and implement appropriate data storage solutions (relational databases, NoSQL databases, data lakes) based on project requirements.Secure and manage access to sensitive data in accordance with data privacy regulations.Monitor and optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability.
