The leaders want new ideas and someone with drive to make improvements.<br /> This is a position that would suit someone on the up in their career who is keen to put a significant achievement on their CV.</p><p><strong>Your Duties:</strong></p><p>You will take on a variety of responsibilities:</p><p>Financial Planning &amp; Analysis:</p><ul><li>Develop and manage the annual budget and rolling forecast incorporating detailed financial modeling, variance analysis, and sensitivity analysis. Project future performance and identify potential risks and opportunities.</li><li>Prepare comprehensive financial presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and variances from budget and forecast.</li><li>Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to identify areas for improvement in profitability, efficiency, and cost control.</li><li>Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with company strategic objectives to track and measure financial performance across all aspects of the Australian operations.</li></ul><p>Management Reporting &amp; Financial Control:</p><ul><li>Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.</li><li>Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.</li><li>Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.</li><li>Manage the preparation and submission of all required tax returns and compliance reports to relevant Australian authorities.</li><li>Manage the annual external audit process.</li></ul><p>Cash Flow Management &amp; Working Capital:</p><ul><li>Forecast and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs.</li><li>Monitor accounts receivable and payable, proactively addressing any outstanding issues or delays. Develop and implement strategies to reduce DSO and DPO.</li><li>Manage banking relationships, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.</li></ul><p>Financial Systems &amp; Technology:</p><ul><li>Manage and maintain the company's accounting systems and processes, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
