Key responsibilities of a Corporate Accountant in the accounting and finance sector include:Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsManaging general ledger reconciliations and journal entriesSupporting the month-end and year-end close processesEnsuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirementsAssisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisCoordinating with auditors and providing required documentationMaintaining fixed asset registers and depreciation schedulesImproving financial reporting processes and internal controlsSupporting tax compliance and BAS/FBT/GST reporting

Typical Corporate Accountant job qualifications and requirements

A degree in accounting, commerce, or finance is required, with CPA or CA accreditation preferred. Experience in corporate or financial accounting roles is essential.
