Financial Controller
<p><strong>The Company</strong><br />My client is a large ASX listed company that operates in the financial services sectors. The Group function for NZ is based in Auckland but this business has a large number of operating companies throughout the country whereby management run the local business, retaining the successful formulae of knowledge and relationships. These individual companies operate with their own Board structure and have autonomy to run but the ability to leverage the capability of National Group when required.</p><p><br /><strong>The Role</strong><br />The role of Financial Controller reports to the Christchurch based CEO. You will be an integral member of the local SLT and be responsible for contributing to the Strategic direction of the business whilst providing the financial oversight. Your key responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Provide inspirational leadership to the entire business, developing others and building on the culture</li><li>Strong business partnering to the operational stakeholders, driving performance and providing actionable insights to support retention and growth strategies</li><li>Provide financial expertise in commission modelling, client profitability analysis and strategic partnerships</li><li>Own the Statutory reporting and Annual Audit process and collaborate with Group as required</li><li>Lead the budgeting and forecasting process at both local level and in line with Group requirements</li><li>Oversee the monthly management accounting process</li><li>Provide analysis on monthly results, KPI's, trends &amp; patterns offering insights to opportunities, including developing enhanced dashboard reporting capability</li><li>Be an integral member of the team supporting M&amp;A activity and once acquired working through integration of any acquired businesses</li><li>Oversee cash flow, forecasting thereon</li><li>Develop and lead the finance team.</li><li>Oversee compliance &amp; risk, including systems and process to ensure the integrity of the Finance function.</li><li>Other ad hoc duties as required.</li></ul><p><br /><strong>Your Profile</strong><br />To be considered for this role, are looking for a CA qualified Accountant who has previously operated at the Financial Control level.
