  • <p><strong>The Company</strong><br />My client is a large well known MNC company with significant brand and operations in NZ, reporting to regional HQ in Singapore and global headquarters in Germany. Although the business is large, the company in NZ has a lovely family feel where people look out for one another. The business is based in Mt Wellington, can provide a hybrid working culture and flexibility. Parking for this role is available on site. This role has arisen due to the incumbent moving offshore within the global organisation.</p><p><br /><strong>The Role</strong><br />The role of Accounting Manager will report to the NZ based CFO who is an exceptional leader. The core responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Leadership and development of the Accounting team of 6 direct reports, driving accountability and a high performance culture.</li><li>Manage the day to day accounting activities, partnering with offshore shared services teams and directing as required.</li><li>Oversee month end and the year end closing process.</li><li>Manage the compilation of Annual Financial Statements and the Audit process, liaising with internal &amp; external Audit.</li><li>Manage cashflow and cashflow reporting</li><li>Ensure compliance with all tax obligations</li><li>Balance sheet management</li><li>Ensure all internal controls, policies and procedures are in place and continuously reviewed</li><li>Manage and oversee the month end billing process.</li><li>Other ad hoc duties as required.</li></ul><p><strong>Your Profile</strong><br />To be considered for this role, we are looking for a CA qualified or equivalent Accountant with the following attributes:</p><ul><li>Proven team leadership skills</li><li>Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, Accounting standards and competent with systems and processes</li><li>Strong attention to detail &amp; accuracy</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under time lines and pressure.</li></ul><p>This role could suit a Senior Manager of Audit or BAS, looking for a first step out of public practice who has led the Audit engagements. Alternatively you may have worked your way up through industry.
