<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Company</span></strong></p><p>A well established life insurance is looking for an Investment Accounting Senior Manager to join HK Team.</p><p> </p><h4><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Role</span></strong></h4><ul><li><strong>Own the Investment Accounting Cycle:</strong>Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for the investment portfolio, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to tight deadlines.</li><li><strong>IFRS 9 & 17 Expertise:</strong>Ensure robust application of IFRS 9 (Financial Instruments) for classification, measurement, impairment (ECL), and hedge accounting. Work closely with the actuarial team on the investment-related aspects of IFRS 17.</li><li><strong>Control & Governance:</strong>Design, implement, and maintain a strong internal control framework over investment operations and reporting. Serve as a key contact for internal and external audits.</li><li><strong>Stakeholder Leadership:</strong>Partner strategically with Investment, Risk, Actuarial, and IT departments to improve data flows, system enhancements, and business processes.</li><li><strong>Team Development:</strong>Mentor and develop a team of investment accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.</li><li><strong>Technical Advisory:</strong>Provide expert guidance on new investment initiatives, product launches, and the accounting implications of complex transactions.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Your Profile</span></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Essential:</strong>8+ years of relevant experience, with a significant portion gained within the <strong>life insurance</strong></li><li><strong>Essential:</strong>In-depth, hands-on experience with <strong>IFRS 9</strong> (and IFRS 17 is a strong plus) in an insurance context.</li><li><strong>Essential:</strong>Direct experience with the accounting and operational aspects of <strong>Investment-Linked Assurance Schemes (ILAS)</strong> or similar unit-linked products.</li><li><strong>Strongly Preferred:</strong>Previous training and foundational experience from a <strong>Big 4 accounting firm</strong>.</li><li>Proven track record of managing the investment accounting close for a large, complex portfolio.</li><li>Good command in Chinese and English</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Apply Today </span></strong></p><p>To apply online (Word attachment only), please click the 'Apply' button.
