Compliance Analyst Job Description

A Compliance Analyst supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of an organization's compliance framework. This role involves researching regulatory requirements, assisting with risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations. The Analyst helps maintain a robust compliance program by preparing reports, conducting reviews, and supporting training initiatives. This position demands strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication. Typically, 2-5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field within financial services or a regulated industry is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field is essential, with relevant compliance certifications (e.g., CSC) preferred. A solid understanding of Canadian regulatory environments is crucial.

Typical compliance analyst duties:

Research and interpret Canadian financial regulations and internal policies.Assist with compliance risk assessments and control effectiveness reviews.Monitor transactions and activities for adherence to regulatory requirements.Prepare compliance reports, analyses, and documentation.Support the development and delivery of compliance training materials.Respond to compliance-related inquiries from internal stakeholders.Maintain accurate compliance records and logs.Assist in preparing for regulatory examinations and internal audits.
