Business Analyst Job Description

Business Analysts play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions, working collaboratively with stakeholders across various departments to identify business needs, analyze requirements, and develop solutions that optimize processes and enhance organizational efficiency. Business Analysts focus on financial analysis, data flow analysis and project management. A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is essential. Eagerness to learn about Canadian business practices and a foundational understanding of data analysis tools are key, along with a proactive and collaborative approach.

Typical business analyst duties:

Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and desired outcomes.Develop and maintain clear and concise business process documentation.Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current and desired states.Participate in the selection and evaluation of potential solutions (e.g., software, process improvements).Work with development teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements.Create and maintain user documentation and training materials (as needed).Stay up to date on emerging business analysis methodologies and best practices.
