This role is a result of an internal promotion</p><p><br /><strong>The Role</strong><br /><br />The role of Senior Financial Accountant, team leader will report to the Head of Finance based in NZ. The role will have a team of 3 direct reports and be responsible for the following:</p><ul><li>Support the HOF to manage the month end process, including the reporting timetable of monthly financial statements and balance sheets and variance analysis thereon.</li><li>Partner the business unit managers to ensure queries are managed and ensure they have the financial support to run their areas, identifying key drivers</li><li>Financial analysis to support decision making, providing succinct and insightful analysis.</li><li>Staff Management and development of 3 staff, encompassing AP & AR functions.</li><li>Oversee tax compliance and filing thereon including GST, FBT and payroll filing</li><li>Oversee the banking and cashflow requirements of the business, also ensuring overdue debtors reporting is managed and payment batches are authorised</li><li>Assist the HOF to ensure full Statutory compliance including the annual Financial Statements, Tax & Audit as well as the audit process.</li><li>Ensure the integrity of the General ledger and ensure a strong internal controls and policies environment.</li><li>Review reconciliations and ensure any complex issues are resolved</li><li>Management of the monthly WIP & intercompany recharges</li><li>Systems project experience - the company has a systems changeover pending so this individual will be a subject matter expert and take a lead role on this project</li><li>Other duties as required.</li></ul><p><strong>Your Profile</strong><br /><br />To be considered for this role, we are looking for a Qualified Accountant who has the following skills:</p><ul><li>Strong communication skills, both written & oral</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Proven experience with larger ERP systems</li><li>Experience partnering blue collar/ industrial type branches with the ability to partner/influence and educate the field.</li><li>Strong technical capability across reporting, related party transactions, consolidations and indirect tax</li><li>Staff management or team lead experience.</li></ul><p>This role will suit someone ideally who is looking to grow their career with a large business.
