You'll oversee two direct reports who handle the day‑to‑day processing of payroll for more than 1,200 employees, many of whom are waged. Your focus will be on providing strong leadership, guidance, and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and integrity of a complex fortnightly payroll. In addition to your core remit, you'll play a key role in driving ongoing improvements across payroll processes and contributing to a range of engaging projects. A portion of the role will also involve close collaboration with HR to maintain robust policy documentation and ensure templates remain current and compliant.</p><p><strong>Your profile:<br /></strong>We're seeking a seasoned payroll professional who understands the nuances of payroll legislation and can confidently navigate a complex, fast‑evolving environment-particularly one involving unions and collective agreements. You'll bring strong integrity, honesty, and empathy to your work, along with a natural inclination to lead.
