- <p><strong>The Company</strong></p><p>Our client is a large well known NZ privately owned company with nationwide presence and a fantastic environment to work within. This role has arisen due to a staff member relocating, this is a 3-6month contract that could go permanent for the right person.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong> <br />The role of the Finance Assistant reports directly to the Finance Manager who is well tenured and has been with the business for a long period of time. You will have plenty of support and knowledge around you. <br /><br />Your duties will include:</p><ul><li>Daily and monthly banking reconciliations</li><li>Intercompany allocations</li><li>Month-end journals, accruals and pre-payments</li><li>Monthly invoicing of sales and reconciliations for multiple branches and insurance providers</li><li>Processing of accounts payables through to weekly payment runs</li><li>Fixed Asset management</li><li>GL and Balance sheet reconciliations</li><li>Assisting with monthly reporting</li><li>Assisting with administration around vehicle related requests and picking of stock daily</li><li>Ad hoc duties as requested</li></ul><p><strong>Your profile:</strong></p><p>Experience with a large ERP system is essential (SAP, D365, NetSuite, Oracle etc) and you will have Intermediate excel skills. You will have excellent relationship building skills as you will be liaising with the branches, lots of initiative/problem solving ability and be able to multitask. The company is well known for what it has achieved but at the same time likes to go quietly about their business. The team are a hardworking down to earth bunch.<br /><br /><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>The Role<br /></strong></span><br />The role of Accounts Assistant will report to the Financial Controller. The key responsibilities will include AP (70%) and AR/CC (30%). This will include:</p><ul><li>Manage the Accounts payable function alongside another Accounts Assistant.</li><li>Supplier statement reconciliations</li><li>Manage the exceptions of AP invoices where the automation software finds mismatches and work to clear the outstanding items.</li><li>Prepare payment runs on the 20th and weekly</li><li>Prepare payments reconciliations</li><li>Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliations</li><li>Daily processing of receipts</li><li>Raising invoices for sales and recharges to other business units.</li><li>Monthly company credit card reconciliations</li><li>Collation of monthly retail sales information</li><li>Assisting the Finance Managers with GST returns and annual filing returns.</li><li>Other ad hoc duties as required.</li></ul><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Your Profile<br /></strong></span><br />This position is hands on and does require someone who has some solid AP experience combined with some exposure to AR/CC.
