It is a varied role combining commercial and financial analysis, data interrogation and stakeholder management.Key responsibilities will include:<ul><li>Reviewing supplier contracts and working with an offshore analytics team to identify relevant data and analytical findings</li><li>Interpreting and sense-checking the analysis against underlying contract terms, assessing the commercial impact and implications for the client and supplier relationship</li><li>Working with clients and suppliers to recover identified monies and agree changes to processes, systems and procedures to improve data accuracy and prevent future issues (the consulting part)</li><li>Providing ad hoc analysis and reporting to support clients based on insights identified through the broader data interrogation process</li></ul>Your ProfileWe are looking for someone who brings:<ul><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and turn findings into practical commercial insights.</li><li>Strong systems and ERP capability, with confidence navigating different systems, data sources and processes.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, with the commercial judgement to sense-check analysis and identify inconsistencies or anomalies.</li><li>Strong Excel skills and the ability to understand and follow complex accounting, merchandising and commercial processes.</li><li>Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to build relationships and engage effectively with clients, suppliers and senior executives.</li><li>Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.</li><li>A high degree of autonomy, with the ability to manage priorities, work independently and take ownership of outcomes.</li><li>A collaborative approach, working closely with an international analytics team and applying their insights within the local business context.</li></ul>Full training will be provided, including an initial induction with the Melbourne-based finance team, followed by ongoing interaction with the wider international analytics team. The Role This role reports to a Senior Finance Manager and is an integral member of the team of analysts responsible for a portfolio of investment funds. This is a commercially focused analyst position that combines technical accounting knowledge with strong financial modelling capability. Key areas of responsibility include:<ul><li>Managing financial analysis for a portfolio of approximately 10 property funds.</li><li>Developing and maintaining complex financial models.</li><li>Supporting the establishment of new funds and investment vehicles.</li><li>Budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis.</li><li>Evaluating acquisitions, disposals and capital transactions.</li><li>Monitoring fund performance against budget and investment objectives.</li><li>Cash flow forecasting and analysis.</li><li>Preparation of board reporting and investment committee materials.</li><li>Supporting quarterly reporting requirements for the ASX-listed parent company.</li><li>Analysing lease structures, property performance and fund returns.</li><li>Identifying opportunities to streamline modelling, reporting and analytical processes, including the application of AI and automation tools.</li></ul>Your Profile The successful candidate will combine strong accounting fundamentals with advanced analytical and modelling skills.
