  • <p><strong>The Company</strong><br />My client is a high net worth family office looking for a Financial Accountant to join the close knit team to support the Finance function. The operating businesses that are supported by this family office include property, philanthropy, construction and industrial and investment entities. The family office has circa 10 people in the office in modern, smart offices based in Ponsonby. The team here is professional, mature and relaxed but always doing something interesting and innovative.</p><p><br /><strong>The Role</strong><br />To be considered for this role we are looking for a technically strong Financial Accountant who is hands on and can muck in with a wide breadth of responsibilities. You will report to a Financial Controller and have responsibility for the following duties:</p><ul><li>Prepare the daily cashflow and facilitate payments as required including intercompany funding</li><li>Month end reporting including P&amp;L, Balance sheets and analysis thereon, on 5 entities</li><li>Tax compliance - GST, FBT, RWT, PAYE and collaborate with EY on year end tax matters as required</li><li>Raise intercompany invoices and recharges</li><li>Assist the Financial controller with budgets including management fees</li><li>Ensure capex and WIP is monitored, with the washup's done on completion and the correct accounting treatment is adhered to.</li><li>Code and enter a low volume of AP invoices, ensuring they are coded to the right entities and treated correctly as well as authorising payments.</li><li>Process employee expense claims and credit cards</li><li>Prepare balance sheet reconciliations</li><li>Ad hoc duties as required.</li></ul><p><br /><strong>Your Profile</strong><br />We are looking for an individual who is ideally CA qualified and has proven Financial Accounting experience to handle more complex transactions but is happy to be hands on. This role will be between 25-30 hours and will suit someone that can be a little bit flexible to meet the deadlines of the business given the nature of the transactions. <br />You will have the following attributes:</p><ul><li>Demonstrated loyal &amp; tenure within your previous roles</li><li>A mature and professional approach to work</li><li>A strong appreciation of confidentiality</li><li>A good sense of humour</li><li>A sound knowledge of indirect taxes</li><li>Hands on but ability to think laterally to apply accounting principles.</li><li>CA preferred</li><li>An ability to work 5 days in the office and be an integral member of the team.
