With a front-line resource of over 1200 staff and 100 people at HQ offices, they require a Payroll Manager to lead a team of 2, manage payroll and drive continuous improvement in a complex environment.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>This role reports directly to the CFO and will be an integral member of their leadership team. The role has 2 direct reports who largely manage payroll processing for over 1200 employees, many of whom are waged staff. Your role is to provide oversight and mentorship to your team, as well as review to ensure the accuracy of a complex payroll that runs fortnightly. Alongside your core responsibilities, you will also be encouraged to drive continuous improvement in the payroll space, as well as involvement with various interesting projects. An element of this will require partnership with HR to ensure the integrity of policy documentation and templates. <br /> <br /><strong>Your profile:</strong></p><p>We are looking for an experienced operator who understands the various intricacies of payroll legislation, especially in a complex and fast-changing environment (think Unions and Collective Agreements). You will have a strong degree of honesty, integrity and compassion, as well as a desire to lead. It is highly likely that you have experience improving payroll processes and policies/a continuous improvement mindset and someone who likes to challenge the status quo.
