Liaising with auditors, banks, and external advisors

Leading process improvements and treasury system enhancements

Typical Treasury Manager (Financial Services) job qualifications and requirements

A degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline is essential, with professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, CFA, or AMCT highly regarded. Significant experience in corporate treasury, ideally within financial services or large corporates, is required, along with a strong understanding of liquidity, funding, and financial risk management.

Proven experience in treasury operations, including cash flow management, liquidity planning, and funding strategies

In-depth understanding of financial instruments, capital markets, and debt management

Familiarity with APRA regulations and financial risk controls (e.g. interest rate risk, FX risk, counterparty risk)

Strong analytical, financial modelling, and forecasting skills

Experience managing banking relationships and negotiating credit facilities

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and reporting capabilities

Proficiency in treasury management systems (e.g. Kyriba, Quantum, Reval) and advanced Excel skills

Understanding of hedge accounting, treasury policy frameworks, and regulatory compliance

Ability to support treasury strategy, risk mitigation initiatives, and balance sheet optimisation
