Join this inspiring team and elevate your career<br /><br /><strong>The Role</strong><br />As the project accountant, you will report directly to an impressive Head of Finance and work alongside not only the rest of the finance team, and also be involved in business partnering with other key stakeholders involved in the projects. </p><ul><li>Prepare Month End WIP calculations and post journals accordingly</li><li>Analyse project GP movement and ensure accurate and timely project costs projects</li><li>Supporting projects close out, ensure PC certificates and accounts statements of all projects are in place.</li><li>Prepare WIP reporting monthly, quarterly, annual results and as required</li><li>Maintaining a tracking system and partnering with project team to ensure compliance and needed documents prior to work beginning, during delivery and post delivery.</li><li>Issue invoice and ensure all claims and billings are on schedule by working closely with the delivery team</li><li>Creating effective relationships with key country stakeholders</li><li>Leading and developing the project accounting function</li></ul><p><strong>Your Profile</strong><br />You will ideally be CA or CPA qualified with proven experience in a similar role. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with non-financial managers to help drive business decisions. The MNC purchased a specialist NZ entity a few years ago which has been rolled up into the Group and provides a specialised product to both local & global markets.</p><p>The business in NZ is circa $50M revenue and has approximately 35 staff. As you will be part of global team, your reporting line will be directly to the Finance Director based in Chicago and have a dotted line to the local GM.</p><p>Once up to speed, you can work a hybrid model of up to 2 days from home, provided you can support the business as and when required.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong><br />The role of Finance Manager / Plant Controller is a stand alone finance role in NZ whereby you have a very broad remit as follows:</p><ul><li>Drive plant performance, providing analytical data on materials usage, cost statements, P&L performance, manufacturing statistics and labour analysis</li><li>Drive the annual budget process</li><li>Own the monthly & quarterly forecasts and provide insights thereon</li><li>Complete transfer pricing regarding lease agreements</li><li>Ensure inventory control and manage the accounting for inventory</li><li>Analyse and interpret financial results to identify trends and activities to drive performance, providing commentary thereon for decision making</li><li>Provide strategic guidance to the business on customer performance and trends</li><li>Influence plant leadership to drive performance</li><li>Ensure the balance sheet is analysed and reconciliations are completed</li><li>Filing of NZ taxes</li><li>Be the super-user of the ERP systems</li><li>Manage the company insurances</li><li>Negotiate lease agreements with 3rd party vendors and customers</li><li>Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, DOA and accounting policies</li><li>Leadership & development of others as required</li><li>Other ad hoc duties</li></ul><p><strong>Your profile:</strong><br />To be considered for this role, we are looking for a Senior Finance professional who truly understands the Manufacturing cycle and driving performance from an Accounting perspective of a plant.
