For an internationally operating organisation in a specialised logistics market, we are looking for a Financial Accountant (m/v/x) in the Greater Enschede Area. This organisation has built a strong position within its niche and supports customers across Europe, North America, Australia, and other international markets. Due to the recent expansion of activities in the Netherlands, the finance team is continuing to grow, creating room for a Financial Accountant in the Netherlands. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day finance activities of the Dutch entity. You will ensure accurate, complete, and timely financial records in line with IFRS, while also supporting compliance with Dutch statutory and tax requirements.This Financial Accountant role in the Netherlands is hands-on in nature and offers a high level of ownership, while working closely with local management and the international finance team. Tasks and responsibilities of the Financial Accountant <ul><li>Maintain the general ledger and oversee day-to-day bookkeeping.</li><li>Manage the accounts payable process, including invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, and payment runs.</li><li>Manage the accounts receivable process, including customer invoicing, collections, and account reconciliations.</li><li>Prepare and post journals, accruals, and other month-end adjustments.</li><li>Perform bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations.</li><li>Complete the monthly and year-end close in line with Group reporting deadlines.</li><li>Ensure compliance with IFRS and support Dutch statutory and tax reporting requirements.</li><li>Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting documentation.</li><li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and internal controls.</li></ul>Your profile<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li><li>At least 3 years of experience in a financial accounting role or similar position.</li><li>Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and financial accounting principles.</li><li>Experience preparing accounts in accordance with IFRS.</li><li>Experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.</li><li>Experience completing monthly and annual close processes.</li><li>Familiarity with Dutch statutory reporting and tax compliance requirements is an advantage.</li><li>Experience with ERP or accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.</li><li>Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>High level of accuracy and attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Dutch language skills are an advantage.</li></ul>Offer<ul><li>Salary indication based on 40 hours per week, depending on experience and educational background.</li><li>A varied and autonomous role within a growing international organisation.</li><li>The opportunity to take ownership of the finance function for the Dutch business.</li><li>A collaborative and supportive working environment within an international finance team.</li><li>A competitive salary and benefits package.</li><li>The opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of an expanding international business.</li></ul>Interest?Are you the Financial Accountant our client is looking for?
