At Robert Half, giving back is part of who we are. Across our global offices, our people are passionate about supporting the communities where we live and work. This year, our International Business employees reached an incredible milestone – coming together across 19 countries to raise more than $1 million USD for Make-A-Wish (MAW) International.
This achievement reflects not only the generosity and commitment of our teams, but the creativity, energy and heart they bring to making a difference for children facing critical illnesses across the globe.
Why Make-A-Wish?
Make-A-Wish (MAW) International, which has a presence in all 19 of our International Business countries, grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses – helping to bring hope, strength, and joy when it’s needed most. These wishes don’t just create unforgettable moments, they offer comfort, resilience, and a sense of possibility for entire families. With the help of donors and more than 27,000 volunteers around the world, MAW has collectively granted more than 615,000 wishes worldwide.

Global Effort, Local Impact
Since 2021, our employees have found new and inspiring ways to fundraise for Make-A-Wish (MAW) International. From large-scale events like our annual Round the World Challenge and Global Activity Challenge, to grassroots efforts such as marathons, walk-a-thons, bake sales, and volunteer days – every initiative has contributed to this shared success.
These activities don’t just raise funds – they connect our people across borders and unite communities around a common cause: creating life-changing moments for children and their families. We also invite our customers to take part, giving them the opportunity to share in the joy of making a difference while strengthening our ties to the communities we serve.
The Power of Collaboration
Our journey to this $1 million USD milestone began with the vision of two Robert Half trail blazers, Matt Weston, Senior Managing Director for the UK, Benelux and Ireland and Mike Shekhtman, Senior Regional Director for Western Canada, whose vision and leadership sparked our inaugural Round the World Challenge. Their drive laid the foundation for a global movement – a testament to what’s possible when we unite our talents and energy.
Reaching a milestone like this is truly a team effort. Chesca Simmons, Senior Manager, Projects & Programs, International Operations, and Anne-Cathrin Müller, Senior Program Manager, International Operations play instrumental roles in managing Robert Half’s day-to-day partnership with Make-A-Wish and supporting colleagues across the globe with the resources they need to bring local activities and initiatives to life.
