Key responsibilities of a typical Accounts Receivable Officer include:Generating and issuing invoices in accordance with contract terms and internal guidelinesMonitoring accounts to identify overdue payments and initiating collection activity as requiredAllocating payments accurately and reconciling customer accountsInvestigating and resolving invoice discrepancies or customer queries in a timely mannerPreparing regular ageing reports and providing updates on outstanding receivables to managementLiaising with internal stakeholders, including sales and customer service teams, to resolve billing issuesSupporting month-end processes, including journal entries and reporting of AR balancesAssisting in the implementation and improvement of AR processes and systemsEnsuring compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulationsMaintaining accurate customer master data in finance systems to support billing and collection integritySupporting external and internal audit processes by providing AR-related documentation and reconciliationsThis role suits detail-oriented professionals with strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a solid foundation in accounting principles and financial systems.
