Key responsibilities of a Senior Finance Business Partner include:Leading financial planning and analysis activities across multiple business unitsDelivering strategic insights through robust forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysisInfluencing executive-level decision-making with clear financial recommendationsBuilding and maintaining complex financial models to assess scenarios and business casesSupporting long-term planning, capital investment analysis, and commercial strategyEnsuring compliance with NZ IFRS and IRD requirements including GST, FBT, and PAYECollaborating with cross-functional teams across New Zealand to align financial performance with business outcomesDriving improvements in financial reporting, dashboards, and analytics toolsMentoring and supporting the development of junior finance team membersLeading financial elements of key transformation projects and strategic initiatives

Senior Finance Business Partner job qualifications and requirementsA degree in accounting, finance, or economics and full membership with CA ANZ or CPA Australia is required.Requirements include:7+ years’ experience in commercial finance, strategic analysis, or business partnering rolesProven experience influencing executive stakeholders and driving commercial outcomesAdvanced Excel and financial modelling capabilitiesStrong understanding of NZ IFRS, IRD compliance, and financial governanceExperience with ERP and BI systems (e.g. SAP, Xero, MYOB, Power BI)Strategic mindset with a track record of delivering business insights and value
