What skills and qualifications should an ERP Manager have?

While a tertiary education in software development, IT, or computer science is recommended, it is not a strict requirement. Instead, ERP Managers should be able to demonstrate experience working within ERP, project management, or business administration, as well as in-depth knowledge of relevant programming languages.Other technical skills should include: Knowledge of Cloud Computing and SaaS Project management Budgeting and forecasting Some companies work with specific ERP applications -- like Oracle or SAP -- and may request experience or certifications from these companies.Soft skills should include: Communication Problem solving Analytical thinking Collaboration/teamwork Organisation Leadership/mentoring Business acumen
