Downtown Denver Foreign Filings Patent Prosecution Paralegal!

Our client, a leading law firm in Denver is looking for a 7 plus years law firm foreign filings patent prosecution paralegal to work in their intellectual property practice group. Foreign filings experience is required for this position. Experience with US patent prosecution matters is helpful. Ability to manage and build teams are required for this position. Job duties for this foreign prosecution paralegal will entail the following: Review docket for deadlines, understand docket and deadlines and action needed on each file, Inform working attorney of deadlines Assist in filing of U.S. and PCT patent applications, both electronically and paper (including preparation and review of necessary filing documents) Emphasis on all aspects of foreign prosecution practice Calculate Patent Term Adjustments Review files and preparation of Information Disclosure Statements and accompanying documents, Effect national phase entry of PCT applications, and prepare and file continuing applications, Correspond with foreign associates, oversee payment of foreign associates' invoices, and prepare of reporting letters to client Effect portfolio transfers and manage multi-client portfolios, File and assist in prosecution of design applications (including convention deadlines for filing abroad) Track chain of title in U.S. patents and ability to perfect same Four year degree and/or paralegal training/certificate preferred Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, Extensive knowledge of U.S. patent rules and procedure; knowledge of PCT and/or national laws of other countries. High level of proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office Suite applications, Adobe Acrobat, U.S. Patent Office Electronic Filing System, and other internet research tools. Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to perform well under pressure, manage priorities and meet deadlines. The firm offers an excellent salary and benefits. Requirements
- Ideal candidate should possess knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset

- Attention to detail and accuracy, and discretion

- Capable of taking ownership of projects, writing and negotiating, planning and organizing

- 5+ years of relevant experience

- Intellectual property law experience

- Solid understanding of patent intellectual property

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
