The Creative Group is selectively seeking a CRM Database Marketing Manager for our client's team. The CRM Database Marketing Manager's primary function is generating and nurturing high quality leads for our client's global Sales team. This CRM Database Marketing Manager candidate will be involved managing CRM and database marketing initiatives for all of our Client's events. This candidate should be an experienced CRM Database Marketing Manager and will report to the Head of Lead Generation and will be based in Atlanta. The main purpose of the CRM Database Marketing Manager role is to oversee marketing automation activities as it relates to the events business. Support for multiple teams across a global business is a core responsibility. An ability to understand (and contribute to the building of) strategic direction and distill it into actionable tasks for direct reports will be key for this CRM Database Marketing Manager role. Domestic and international travel will be required (up to 20%).


Project management

Our client has recently migrated to SalesForce Marketing Cloud as an enterprise automation solution. The Senior Manager, CRM Database Marketing will be working with both the Event Marketing team and other teams across the business to prioritize projects related to this.

  • Managing all CRM elements related to events. This includes delivery of sales leads, assisting with forecasts, and managing strict timelines.
  • Executing on long term strategy.
  • Delivery of accurate data, generated from multiple sources, within strict timelines.

    Team management

  • Mentorship, leadership and development of 3 direct reports with locations across the globe.
  • Delegating complex responsibilities.


  • This role involves relationship building across global teams including development of timelines, determining priorities, and managing conflict resolution.
  • Ability to understand and then effectively communicate CRM strategy to stakeholders outside of the Event Marketing team is a necessity.
  • Additionally, this role requires the ability to think strategically while working diligently to guide a team thru day to day tasks.
  • Preparedness and ability to effectively build and communicate goals, timelines, and budgetary needs are keys to success.


  • Weekly, monthly and annual reporting of key analytics/milestones (project, email, and financial).
  • Familiarity with both basic and complex email and digital analytics is mandatory.
  • Ability to deliver previously agreed upon reporting schedules before, during and post-event is a requirement.
  • Ability to communicate with global stakeholders on CRM status as it relates to their portions of the business.
  • Understanding of digital marketing analytics, forecasting/BI tools, and A/B testing are all preferred.
  • Requirements


  • Preference given to candidates with degree level education (any discipline) but not required. Experience with SalesForce Marketing Cloud given significant preference.
  • Industry experience not required.
  • 7+ years of experience in CRM/Email Marketing.
  • Able to demonstrate ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage suppliers within a budget.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage a project with minimal oversight.
  • Global business experience.
  • B2B lead generation experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of team management required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Significant experience with SalesForce Marketing Cloud and/or other large scale automation tools. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with BI tool preferred.
  • Able to demonstrate awareness of strategic elements of a project.
  • Certification in PM is a benefit, but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate well and confidently using all forms of communication (email, written, virtual calls). Attention to detail and strong grammar (in written communication) very important.
  • Strong presentation skills required.
  • Additional languages not essential, but definitely beneficial.
  • Experience of management of RFP process, including analysis of responses and presentation of recommendation.
  • Experience of effective cost management.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex budgets.
  • Understanding of financial processes (e.g. POs and reconciliation)
