Helping others is at the heart of our talent solutions firm, and that goes beyond assisting job seekers looking for rewarding work and companies aspiring to build great teams. Through our Season of Service, which kicked off in April during National Volunteer Month and continues until the end of June, we are encouraging our employees to make a positive impact on their local communities.

Check out our new Environmental, Social and Governance Report to learn more about Robert Half and our corporate responsibility.

As part of Season of Service, Robert Half branches across Canada teamed up with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) in May for a month-long fundraising and wellness campaign that encouraged employees to pick any activity — cycle, walk, run, swim, stretch or do yoga — to raise funds and to drive awareness for CMHA and their programs. Employees also attended a series of educational wellness events featuring experts on mindfulness, fitness and the psychology behind the power of positive habits. The month-long campaign culminated in an All-Canada outdoor wellness event with Robert Half teams across the country coming together to get moving for mental health.

Getting involved

Employees are also encouraged to participate in Season of Service by taking part in activity-based fundraising for both national and local charities and supporting organizations dedicated to animals, disaster response, education and the environment.

ENG charitable activities

Some of our Employee Network Groups (ENGs) have already completed activities, and others are encouraging members to sign up for upcoming initiatives. For example, during Pride Month in June, Robert Half’s LGBTQIA+ Employee Network, BELONG, is planning a fundraiser during in support of Rainbow Railroad, which helps LGBTQIA+ people escape violence. In addition, the Herb Garden Project in a Box gave ENG members an opportunity to create instructional herb garden kits for youth centres, schools and non-profit food assistance programs.

Matching Gifts during this Season of Service

Employees can also take advantage of our Matching Gifts program to maximize the impact of their donations, fundraising and volunteer time. Robert Half will provide a 1:1 match for all employee donations and fundraising efforts and will grant $15 US per volunteer hour for eligible charities.

Whether it’s making adoption bandanas for a local pet shelter or mapping vulnerable communities to help first responders during disaster relief efforts, our employees are encouraged to support their communities in a way that’s meaningful for them this Season of Service — and beyond.

If you would like to support our efforts, please reach out to your local Robert Half office.
