All the disruption and change brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic has many people rethinking their priorities — including whether they should change jobs. Some are even weighing the option to pursue an entirely new career path. If you’re in either camp, we’d like to suggest that you consider exploring potential job opportunities at Robert Half.
Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm. We’ve been around for a long time — more than 70 years — and we’ve seen a lot of change over those decades. One constant has been our focus on helping people connect with work that they find fulfilling and makes the best use of their skills and interests. That includes the people we hire for our own team.
Here are just five of many reasons to consider building your career at Robert Half — and why now is a great time to do so:
At Robert Half, there are no limits to where hard work and talent can take your career. We strive to help all people within our company find their professional path and grow their skills and expertise by providing innovative projects and creating an engaging, supportive and inclusive work environment.
We give our employees the tools they need to succeed. With advanced technology and world-class training and skills development resources — including our library of thousands of online training courses, videos and books covering a wide variety of business and technical skills — our team members can learn continuously throughout their careers here.
It’s not uncommon to find professionals working at Robert Half who have been with our company for 10, 15, 20 years — or even longer. Many of these individuals have forged their own career path through different roles in our organization, and they work in locations across the globe.
Creating a workplace experience that allows us to attract and retain standout talent requires that we listen closely and frequently to what our employees have to say about that experience. That’s why we survey our employees regularly on various topics, including collaboration, manager support and organizational culture.
We have high participation rates for these surveys and have formal processes in place to respond to employee feedback and put it into action so we can keep growing and improving as a company.
2. Opportunity and purpose
Whether you’re on our talent solutions team or our corporate team at Robert Half, your work will change lives. You can help job seekers find their next great opportunity. You can help companies find the talent they need to fulfill their missions. Or you may be able to do both.
Another way we work to change lives, as a company, is by doubling the impact of our employees’ volunteer and charitable efforts. Every calendar year, each part- and full-time employee can have their donations and volunteer hours matched up to $1,500. Robert Half will match:
- Donations made to eligible nonprofit organizations
- Totals for participation in activity-based fundraising, like walks, rides and runs
And for every hour an employee volunteers with an eligible nonprofit, Robert Half will give a $15 “Happy Hours” grant to that charity.
Through these efforts, we’re supporting our employees in their work to drive positive change in their local communities and support causes they care deeply about. And we believe these initiatives give our employees even more reason to feel proud to be part of the Robert Half team.
3. Stability and innovation
Sure, Robert Half has been around for a while (since 1948, to be exact), but that doesn’t mean we’re a company that’s stuck in the past. Our teams are innovative and always ready to tackle new challenges in today’s rapidly evolving business world, making us one of the best talent solution providers out there.
Don’t just take our word for it: Robert Half has once again been named to FORTUNE’s “World’s Most Admired Companies®" list. Ours is also the only organization in its industry to make the list since 1998.
Forbes has also ranked Robert Half in the top spot for the following accolades:
- America’s Best Professional Recruiting Firms
- America’s Best Temporary Staffing Firms
- America’s Best Executive Recruiting Firms
Our company is Great Places To Work® certified, with 91% of our employees verifying that Robert Half is, indeed, a great place to work. (That compares to 59% of employees at a typical U.S.-based company, according to Great Places To Work.)
Additionally, in May, Robert Half was ranked first on the list of Best Places to Work in the Bay Area (1,000+ employees) by the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley Business Journal. The winning companies were those whose employees rated them highest on key dimensions including communication and resources, manager effectiveness, team dynamics, individual needs, personal engagement, and trust in leadership.

With more than 300 office locations in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Asia Pacific, Robert Half touches the careers of professionals and businesses around the world.
Also, as noted earlier, many of our employees move around within our company, and we’re happy to help relocate them for their next big opportunity. Many of our team members also have the flexibility to work remotely and maintain hybrid work schedules, depending on their role and location.
5. Diversity, equity and inclusion
Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) are words we don’t take lightly at Robert Half. As a recruiting firm founded on a 70-year history of putting ethics first, we have built strong programs to promote DEI in the workplace. Our founder, Bob Half, was dedicated to the idea of equal employment from the very start, lobbying against discriminatory hiring policies prevalent in the staffing industry at the time.
Our vision at Robert Half is to develop a corporate culture where all people can connect, thrive and grow. As a global organization, we recognize the importance of having a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and experiences represented throughout the company. This includes people of different ethnicities, races, religions, genders, sexual orientations, physical abilities, ages, educational backgrounds, social classes and beyond.
Robert Half is dedicated to those who have served our country. Learn more about Robert Half’s career services for veterans and military spouses.
We appreciate the diversity of our company and the communities in which we live and do business. Our employees strive to create relationships with each other, our candidates and clients, external organizations, and members of the local community to learn about the backgrounds of those we serve and support. This helps to create a dynamic and inclusive environment at Robert Half, where people feel welcome, are comfortable being themselves at work and embrace what makes each person unique.
We’re proud that our DEI efforts over the years have earned accolades for our company, including the following achievements:
- Forbes’ Best Employers for Diversity
- Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index
- Forbes’ list of America’s Best Employers for Women
- Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality

Our DEI programs at Robert Half have always been shaped around the interests and priorities of our employees. Some recent examples include our employee network groups (ENGs), which are communities within our company that are organically created around a common purpose, interest or background. They include:
Black Employee Network (BEN)
BEN was the first ENG to form at our company. Three Robert Half employees organized and launched the group last summer. One co-founder of BEN said, “Being involved in BEN has been such a benefit to my employee experience. It’s connected me to colleagues I likely never would have interacted with … and involved me in projects that speak to my head and my heart, so I truly feel like I’m bringing my best self to work.”

Global Women’s Employee Network (GWEN)
GWEN, launched in March 2021, is helping us close the gender gap. Comprising 800-plus employees of Robert Half and our consulting and internal audit subsidiary Protiviti, GWEN’s mission is to champion and amplify women’s perspectives while creating networks, community, and growth opportunities for women. One of the group’s co-founders said in a recent interview: “I’ve been fortunate to have women peers and leaders at Robert Half who have helped inspire me to be a better leader.”

What industry interests you, or do you have experience in? Finance and accounting? Creative and marketing? Technology? Legal? What about administrative?
