Maggie Hazelrig is a Managing Director specializing in executive and senior-level searches. Her clients include well-funded, early-stage startups, rapidly scaling businesses, private equity-backed organizations, global and regional law firms, small to medium-size privately held companies, assorted Fortune 500 entities, large and small nonprofits, as well as top-tier consulting firms.
Her areas of expertise include executive-level technology, operations, legal, regulatory, compliance, sales, marketing and financial leadership searches in various industry settings, including real estate and REITs, technology, healthcare, private equity, food and beverage, retail, legal and professional services, education, marketing, advertising, and nonprofit. She also conducts board of directors searches.
Maggie is best known by her clients for her collaborative and effective search approach. She is a trusted partner and adviser to individual executives, search committees, boards of directors and investors, understanding both their interpersonal and business needs, navigating the search process and helping them identify, acquire and retain top talent.
Based in the firm’s San Francisco office, Maggie conducts searches throughout the United States as well as internationally.
Maggie has over a decade of business and consulting experience. Prior to joining Robert Half Executive Search, she was the Managing Partner of a boutique search firm that focused on executive-level, legal, regulatory and compliance search.
Prior to that, Maggie was a senior member of the Robert Half Search and Placement division in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she helped clients recruit C-level legal and regulatory talent as well as other senior-level, executive leadership-type roles within their respective spaces. During her time at Robert Half, she has been recognized on numerous occasions as a high-caliber performer and has consistently been ranked in the top 1 percent of her peers around the globe.
Personal and Professional Activities
Maggie supports numerous organizations and philanthropies within her local community, including the San Francisco Symphony, Dress for Success, the Arthritis Foundation and Canine Companions for Independence. She co-chaired Opening Night of the Symphony in 2010 and 2012, sat on the San Francisco Bay Area board for Dress for Success for four years, and co-chaired that organization’s largest annual fundraiser three years in a row. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, including Provisors and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), where she served on the board of the San Francisco chapter for two years. She continues to stay active with her high school alma mater, Castilleja School in Palo Alto, and sits on the Alumnae Association’s Executive Committee as the Vice President of Professional Networking.
Maggie graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with double minors in Business and French. She was born and raised in Menlo Park, California, and resides in San Francisco.
